Founded in 2009, Essie’s Girls Inc. was created to make a positive difference in the lives of youth today. We provide individual mentoring, accompanied with structured group activities for girls, grades 6th – 12th in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area.

Our mission is to empower today’s young girls to be successful individuals by teaching them critical and necessary life skills through curriculum that is designed to promote academics, develop character, define and set career objectives, and build healthy relationships through:

  • One-on-one mentoring relationships
  • Workshops
  • Field trips
  • Community projects
  • Extra-curricular activities

Our Programs

Character Development
Mentees are taught the six pillars of character. With these pillars, they are taught how to develop a meaningful character that will define the kind of person they are choosing to be.
Fit and Healthy
Mentees will learn how to live an active and healthy life while learning to love their unique selves.
Community Involvement
Mentees will participate in community activities giving them the opportunity to earn service hours while building leadership skills to become a strong and successful women.


Membership into the Essie’s Girls mentoring program is open to all girls, grades 6th through 12th.
Each future mentee will be required to complete an enrollment packet, submit a copy of her report card, and attend mentee orientation.

In addition, each applicant will be required to complete a total of 10 hours of volunteer service.
